I'm a third-culture kid who grew up in three different continents, and finally found a place to call home. I love Toronto for its diverse food scene - its a testament to all of the times the city has welcomed immigrants and refugees from across the world. I plan to eat my way through those restaurants, and tell you about them.
If you're curious about the name of the blog, it comes from two of my favorite ingredients: salt, which as my friends and family know, I love and sprinkle liberally on everything; and saffron, a spice that I grew up with and that features in some of my favorite comfort foods.
